Memories of Foxy

Foxy was my Service Dog for nine and a half years. We were together 24/7. When we went in the car she always wore her special doggy seat belt and laid there quietly. My friends called her my stuffed animal because she was always quietly at my feet. Everyone who met her were amazed at how beautiful she was and even though she was my Service Dog, I still let everyone pet her. She had such a calming effect to everyone she met. Foxy would love to go as soon as her service vest was put on. She knew she would be seeing people and yes, I cheated and let everyone pet Foxy even though she was my Service dog. I just couldn't keep her love from others. She brightened everyone's day. I have a new Service dog, but it's just not the same and in fact it makes me sad and I think she can tell. That makes me sad, everything makes me sad, except knowing Foxy is in a beautiful meadow meeting all the dogs I have lost in the past....Teeka, Soloman, Little Soloman, Topper, Siobhan, Tippy Tong, and Lucy. Hello to everybody. I miss all of you so much. I think I just miss Foxy the most, because she just left me here on earth waiting to see her at Rainbow bridge so recently. Foxy, you'll see that Topper's legs are perfect, unlike they were on earth. He was born without elbows and had surgery to correct the problem. His legs were so cute. Topper do you remember how when Kevin would come home and you'd be sleeping on his pillow and he would just take your legs and turn you over to my side of the bed. I loved that every night!!! Just today I did the same thing with my new dog, Porsche, when she was taken up all the room on the couch. Yes, I gave in and let her on the couch. It comforts me. Dearest Foxy, we went to Grammie's for Thanksgiving and it just wasn't the same without you. Porsche was good, even Karl and Kathy were impressed, but she's not you, not even close. I hope you don't mind if I keep working with her so maybe one day she might come close to being you. I love you and miss you.
