Memories of Fletcher
Sometimes there is a dog that is so special, that he is able to wrap himself so completely around your heart that it is impossible to tell where you begin and where he
ends.Fletcher is that dog . He was my soul mate and he was my world. He was only 12 when I had to put him to sleep from cancer. He was the most gentle spirited ,well mannerd, loving dog.He was also a goof ball ,he was brave ,smart, strong .He was very adventurous, he would chase and dig for gophers for 30 minutes straight while running through culverts ,nothing stopped him.He had the heart of a lion but was also very sensitive. He was my hero. He was only 18 pounds but he didn't show any fear when bigger dogs come bounding towards him.One time when my back was turned a big 100 pound dog came running into the yard.Fletcher went running after him fangs drawn and that dog went running away,he saved me,he was protecting me.Fletcher got along with everyone.
.He loved all dogs and he loved all people. Any one he met, he would show them his gentle spirit and charm and love, and they were hooked. He was my shadow, and we had a connection and bond that was magical. I can't imagine life without him.He seemed to know what I was thinking. I can't imagine ever having a beautiful connection like that again.I am shattered and lonely beyond words for my beautiful Fletcher. I will see you heaven ,I will love you forever Fletcher.
Until we meet again.
