God let Cecil be my bestest buddy for 14 years...we live on a lake and he swam with the kids, fetched sticks, was so obedient and loving...so appropriate he was born on Valentines Day, as he is still my sweetheart. When my son was a teenager, they would take baseball bats and hit tennis balls way out into the lake and the boys would get tired before Cecil. He loved and was so loved by so many, and will be missed everyday for the rest of my life. The last year has been hard for him, and now I know he is whole again, and not in pain, and can breathe and play and swin and run and fetch. I love you Cec! It's now August, and Cec I still feel you all around me...I hear your paw on the door when the wind blows and I see your shadow on the floor at the foot of my chair when the room is dark. I'll love you forever and ever, amen! Time moves on and now spring is springing out everywhere on the lake...I think I see you, I think I hear you, I feel your presence. I love you so much. Next month will be one year since I lost you. I'm happy for you to have such a wonderful place to be, and run and fetch, and play with you new friends. Momma loves you, Cec! I can't believe it's been one year today. I miss you just as much as I did the day you crossed over! You will always be in my heart. I LOVE YOU! |
