Memories of Bingo
Today it was time to say goodbye to my Bingo, a 13 year old rat terrier. He had the best personality of anyone in his litter, Mr. Polite in his latter years and non-aggressive. He was so private when it came to eating and relieving himself. A bashful little guy with so much love to offer. We learned his body was invaded with internal tumors that were discovered in April '09. His bladder stones were removed but at his age we opted not to address the tumors in his lungs and bladder. From there it was pretty much downhill, he lost weight and then his appetite, and then his dignity as he was wasting away for the past 2 weeks. Today we went to the vet for the last time. Me and Bingo, as he looked into my eyes I told him I loved him so much, and he was euthanized. And it hurts so bad but we told him early on we would not let him suffer. His ashes will be returned to us in a cedar box that we will forever treasure as some of the best memories of our lives. May you rest in Peace Bingo. Mommy & Daddy love you so much and your bros, Catfish, Uno and Blitzen do too. Thank you for all of the good times we had together and your unconditional love. We will cherish those memories forever. May you bask in the heavenly sun, have every special treat you want and sleep on the clouds little guy.
