Sweet Beans I think of you with love this Christmas. Run free boy. Gentle hugs and kisses. Merry Christmas Beans ........ 10/9/11 Hi sweet boy .... I just stopped by to tell you how much everyone misses you on this eve of your 1 yr marker at rainbow Bridge. Run free, play hard and sleep in the angels arms. 4/24/2011 Happy Easter sweet buddy we love you always and will forever miss you. 1/25/2011 Hi Buddy ... I just want to let you know you are never far from my thoughts. Be a good boy and we will see you again someday ....we all love you Beans 12/24/2010 Beans sweet boy ... your 1st Christmas eve in Heaven. Now you will see what Love is all about. God Bless you Beans and all the rescuers at Best Friends. BEANS I dream everyday of a world where there are no more homeless pets, where every animal has a home and is loved forever. But, unfortunately not every animal has a "home" - Beans was one of the homeless. Dearest Beans, You did have a home where you were loved, happy and wanted. This home was in your mind during the beginning of your life. It became more of a reality when you were blessed to find love and trust and happiness at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. You came to Best Friends from an adoption event in Las Vegas. It was then everyone knew your secret. You had a past you wanted to forget and humans were one of your greatest fears. Beans, you were a beautiful Pit-Bull who carried that famous Pit-Bull smile. Although nobody really knows all of your background, a lot was learned about you boy. Beans, you didn't feel safe and loved, and you didn't relate well with other dogs or with people, but with the love and understanding that was given to you at the sanctuary; you, Beans began to change. Beans, you learned that not all humans are bad. Your caregivers, the entire staff and volunteer's hearts were captured by your doggie grin and positive attitude. You learned basic commands, how to walk on a lead and enjoy a good game of fetch. You had even begun doing agility and were pretty good at it. You really loved playing Frisbee and showing the tricks you learned. Your tricks were the highlight of many visitor's memories at the sanctuary. Really, how many dogs do a perfect high 5 or can sneeze on command? You could my dear boy! Beans, after several months at "The Club House" you left there energetic and were eager to learn new things. You became quick to bond with your caregivers and all the visitors. Your caregivers said you needed a job to do .... so you were given a job! Your job was to help them everyday in the kitchen while they fixed the meals. This brings a smile to my face, only because I can imagine you helping. So many people said they could not believe how easy you were to walk. You NEVER pulled and you did not need a harness, your manners were excellent. You were becoming the perfect boy. Beans, your life may not have started out perfectly and it wasn't the life that dogs dream of until you found the sanctuary, but you alone have changed so many other people's lives. You have shown us all what strength, faith and determination is all about. You will never be forgotten, our precious little boy! Why you were taken from us and how, at 5 yrs old was a tragedy and not important now, but what is important is that heaven must have needed you for some reason to begin your new phase of eternal life. You are now at the Rainbow Bridge, where the angels will watch over you, care for you, and take care of you. You will never want for anything now. You will always have food for your tummy and fresh water at the babbling brook. Beans there are many fields for you to run in and to play Frisbee. A whole new world of doggie friends awaits you. You can forever run free, play hard and sleep in the angels arms at night. You are now a doggie angel who will watch over all who loved you and all whose hearts were broken when you left us. Your fun loving attitude and loveable face and silliness will always be missed. On those star filled nights when your memory drifts into the minds of those who loved you, let them know sweet boy, that you are forever with them in their hearts and memories. And, all one needs to do is look to the heavens and find the brightest star and then, they will know that it is you guiding them. Beans you are now flying free on the wings of hope ..... Hope that one day there will be no more homeless pets and all will have a family to love and who loves them............. Rest In Peace Reunions at the Bridge The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching the reunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a whole family would approach the Rainbow Bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the bridge together. The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look! Something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly. Get over to the path." "But that's not my owner," whined the pup, but he did as he was told. Thousands of pets surged forward as a figure in white walked on the path toward the bridge. As the glowing figure passed each animal, that animal bowed its head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the bridge, and was met by a menagerie of joyous animals. Together, they all walked over the bridge and disappeared. The young pup was still in awe. "Was that an angel?" he whispered. "No, son." The older dog replied. "That was more than an angel. That was a person who worked rescue." 12/11/2010 Hi buddy, I have your residency all ready for Christmas. What a joyous time you will have. You will finally be able to see what Christmas is all about... we all miss you beans and we all love you.
