Memories of Bailey
It is with a broken heart that we post this.
Bailey our little boy passed away peacefully on February 10, 2012 at 12 years of age.
He truly was the Light of our Lives.
On a yearly wellness exam, he was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in January 2008 and Congestive Heart Failure in May of 2009. It just wasn't his time, he had alot to live for! His veterinarian, Dr. Terry Clark at VCA Metroplex in Irving, Texas named him the "Metroplex Miracle". Dogs with Prostate Cancer survival rate at best is 1 year. He was a fighter and he blessed us with 4 more wonderful years. We made the best of those years and cherished every moment. Everyday was a gift from God!!! He made everyone around him smile and want to pet him. His demeanor was unlike any other dog you'd meet. He was our little boy in a fur costume! We truly think he thought of himself as a human and not as a dog. He went almost everywhere with us. Delta Airlines and Elliot blessed me with more time off than I flew in the past 4 years. With that I am so grateful. He got to enjoy the pleasure of flying all over the country to see his daddy on tour with Trans Siberian Orchestra. That is where he made some guest appearances on stage. He was my traveling buddy! He'd dress up with his boots and jacket to go out just like a child, like like a proud boy all dressed up everyday. Those who met Bailey couldn't believe how perfect he was. He'd sit at the dinner table just like a human, he'd even eat off a fork! His favorite place was anywhere he could be close to his moms and dads. The couch and the "co-pilot" front seat of the car will never be the same!
We found you on Petfinder.com. We instantly felt something in our hearts that is unexplainable and just knew you had to be ours. The day we went to the rescue group to adopt you, we had no idea you'd leave such a lasting impact on us and so many other people.
Bailey, we will never forget your Amazing Love, you were the Light of our Life!! You brought so much joy and happiness to our lives.
Please give our Love to Frenchy, Baci, Blacki and Boscoe and keep them company until we can meet up again.
Love You So Much, With Hugs and Kisses,
Karla, Elliot, Tonya, Liz, Lyle, Bianca, Valentine & Roscoe
