Memories of Annie

Annie was a Princess in every way, I called her "Annie girl","Princess", I told her all the time she was the "Princess" and she knew it! Her collar said Princess and crowns on it and of course it was pink!Even though she was so destructive as a child,destroyed furniture,ornaments on my xmas tree,and so many other things..she had the sweetest disposition EVER! Always giving kisses & hugs to everyone. I nicknamed her "Houdini" because at 8 wks old she climbed out of her pen!She learned how to open doors in the house,and opened the gate to the yard.She loved to pull the blanket on the couch down over the top of her head and would sleep all covered up! She was my "protector",the "alpha" dog in a home with 2 other male boxers-Sampson & Mac. They knew she ruled the roost! She always had to carry something in her mouth when she greeted me..most of the time it was a pillow off the couch. I will alway remember her with a pillow in her mouth, wagging her whole behind and tail..so happy to see me! Princess Annie helped me through some very difficult times in my life..she would sit on the couch next to me and paw at me to pet her.If she wasn't ready for me to stop petting her, she would keep pawing at me! Her hugs were the best-she would place her head against my forehead and push as hard as she could! Sometimes she pushed too hard! She slept on my bed and in the morning woke me up with kisses and straddling over the top of me. Sometimes she sat on me...all 92 lbs of her!! She loved treats-cookies, any kind of cookies! She would sit and shake so promptly. I love you and miss you every day sweet Annie girl...you were my rock...how could I ever repay the unconditional love you gave me for 5 years? I hope I get the chance when we meet at Rainbow Bridge.. I can see you running and playing in the fields, cancer free and happy. Mac misses you too..he wouldn't eat much at first, but he is doing better.I am giving him lots of attention but I know he is grieving just like me. Miss you terribly every day. Thank you for your love,companionship and all the beautiful memories you have given me. Til we meet again...I carry you in my heart, RIP. I Love you Princess. Mom
