Alexandria (Alex)'s Rainbow Residency

Memories of Alexandria (Alex)

My Alex, called her Baby Girl and she knew the both names very well. Alex had a big thing about drinking her water out of a glass and had to have ice in it, also. She knew when I put the ice cubes in her water she would come running. Not only that I keep a cold glass of ice water near my bed for over 15 yrs for her. And now that she is gone it is hard to break that habit. I also remember when I had my waterbed, couldn't figure out why the bed was getting wet. Thought it had sprung a leak. But Alex was trying to get water out of the glass and it was way too far down for her to get it and so she ended up spilling the water in the bed...lol! If her water wasn't near my bed for whatever reason, she would sit and look at you until you either get her fresh water or make sure it was there for her to have. She had the loudest purr I have ever heard from a cat, I would have to turned the volume up on the TV so I could hear it. She was my rock and my life. I lost alot of family since I moved back home in Toledo, Ohio. But the loss of my Baby Girl has been the most difficult for me. It has been over a month now and it seems like just yesterday. Why does it hurt so bad???? She loved to go outside...I would ask her do you want to go oooooout, and she would say ooooooout! It was very clear that she wanted oooooout...side! After a few times, she would go to the backdoor and say ooooooout! It was cute.

Other than me her Mommy (Linda) she leaves behind 3 fur siblings, sisters Snickers age 8, BeBe Girl age 1 and a brother Hemi age 5 and they got along just fine. Of course Alex got a little tempermental with the BeBe Girl because of the age difference. Alex also lost to other fur babies before her. She had two brother fur babies Sham & Rambo both cocker spaniels died of Leukemia at a very young age. Alex lived a long and very healthy life and I gave her all the LOVE that I could have provided for her. There will be a day when she comes running up to me and I better have a cold glass of ice water for her. May God carry everyone thru this time of need in the loss of your fur babies.

May God Bless (Alex's Mommy)
